Grounding, also known as earthing, is a practice that involves reconnecting with the earth's natural energy by making direct physical contact with the ground, typically through walking barefoot on grass, soil, or sand. This connection is believed to help balance the body's electrical charge, potentially reducing stress, improving sleep, and enhancing overall well-being. Grounding can also refer to a psychological technique used to bring focus and presence back to the moment, often employed to counteract anxiety or panic. This is achieved through physical sensations or mental exercises, helping individuals regain a sense of stability and calmness.
